but as an eternal developer , i think 'design' and all is nothing but frills.. :P i mean who cares how the applications "looks" ... it should "function" properly.. :D

And then the client like me shreds the app pointing it to not be upto the business requirement,following which the developers and designers duke it out in a no-holds barred bare-knuckle fistfight. It all cools down after a still beatingheart is offered at the client's altar.
But seriously developers left to their own designs have saddled me with columns of links on a (sic) fluoroscent green background which could melt your eyes.
What the world needs (besides free chicken and love) is a saner approach to designing interfaces.
