14th Jan was Makar Sankranti/Uttarayan. It is traditionally the day when the winter ends, the days get longer and warmer. Now I don't know exactly why, but people fly kites on this day.
Thus at my workplace, the people decided to take some time off and fly kites. We wish for a better year, more money and a steadier economy.
I am no good at photography, but I liked these two pictures.

The photographs are goood! :)
Here, in Jaipur, people love flying kites. Whole day, loads of music, lots to eat and fireworks at night!
thanks abhinav :)
Came to work super early, and thought of reading your blog! I love the first picture - the dark silhouette and the colorful kite - the contrast is striking. Beautiful work Adi! I love your blog :)
