The week in pictures
I recently got a point-and-shoot camera. It is a Nikon Coolpix, and so far I like it. Its easy to carry around, has a great picture quality in all kinds of light, and has a rechargable battery. In my own small way I am trying to contribute to the environment. So remember kids, don't use disposable batteries! Not only do they discharge fast, but cannot be recycled.
I liked the moody greens and blues on this tin-fence. Someone out there has a eye for colour! It was a rainy, dull day and this fence was quite standing out.

Our garden produced these gems the other day. It is an edible root, we call it सुरण . I think they are called "yams" in English. The flowers of this plant are exceedingly stinky. I thought it looked rather like a turtle. And the small one was a baby turtle.
That, is my garba outfit. I rarely dress up but when I do, I go all out!
And this, is a picture of a guy whose signature they did not trust. My poor friend had to give his thumbprint to buy his bike.
